Golden Eagle Distributing Co., a beer and beverage wholesaler has begun construction of a $5 million facility in the Crossroads Industrial Park in Mount Pleasant. The new facility will consolidate current operations in Burlington and Ottumwa into one location. The new facility will feature a 47,700 sq.ft. refrigerated warehouse and 23,200 sq.ft. of two-story office space.
The Mount Pleasant Area Development Commission (MPADC) is excited to welcome the Golden Eagle. The new development project will significantly expand the Crossroads Industrial Park and prospects for future growth. Kiley Miller, Executive Director of MPADC said, “The Golden Eagle project has opened up another hundred acres of development ground with great visibility to the I-218 and U.S. Hwy 34 transportation system. The expanded infrastructure services set up the site as a premiere location in eastern Iowa.”
Work is well underway on the project with a completion target set for January. Golden Eagle has roughly 120 employees among its operations in Iowa and Missouri.
