IADG Partners Secure $1 M in USDA Rural Development Funding

Four member systems of Iowa Area Development Group have been awarded over $1 million dollars for community betterment projects.    
 
The USDA Rural Economic Development Loan and Grant program is a special development tool that provides grants and zero interest loan funding to rural electric and telephone cooperatives as well as municipal electric and other independent telephone companies for rural projects across the country.   Iowa Area Development Group assisted four member systems in securing the following projects: 

Eastern Iowa Light & Power                          $165,000         New Dental Practice in Wapello
Keosauqua Light & Power                             $300,000         Day Care Center in Keosauqua
Greenfield Municipal Utilities                         $300,000         Opera House Renovation in Greenfield
Farmers Electric Cooperative, Inc.                 $300,000         Hospital Expansion in Winterset
