Voyager Aluminum Expands in Humboldt Voyager Aluminum has expanded their operation to Humboldt, Iowa with the purchase of Humboldt Controls & Fabrication. The Brandon, Minnesota based company is an aluminum wholesaler and provides aluminum extruded sheets and custom made parts for a variety of industries including automotive, agriculture, marine, medical and wind energy.
Chief Operating Officer, Jamie Schaffran said, “We were looking for an Iowa location to expand our products and services and the Humboldt opportunity came together very well with the help of the local development group and leadership. The facility and workforce in Humboldt fits our operation perfectly.”
Voyager Aluminum will operate the facility as Humboldt Conveyors & Fabrication retaining all 11 employees at the facility and provide aluminum and stainless steel products and services. The company will lease the space from Humboldt County Development Association. Alissa Reinholdt, Executive Director for Humboldt County Development Association said, “Voyager has been terrific work with and we are excited to welcome the company to our area.” The company will then also lease the 20,000 sq.ft. spec building right across the street that will serve as a sales and warehousing distribution facility for aluminum products. The spec building is expected to be ready for occupancy early this fall.
Humboldt County REC was instrumental in securing the project for the Humboldt community and provides power to the project.
